Rakesh Hosamani is a cinematographer and editor based in Bengaluru, India. An Alumnus of Mindscreen Film Institute, he began his filmmaking career in 2016 with a passion for visual storytelling and a strong belief that narrative should always guide the camera.

Over the years, Rakesh has worked across a wide range of formats—from commercial ads and branded content to feature films and documentaries. His portfolio includes collaborations with global clients such as Liverpool FC, Airbus, and AstraZeneca during his time with NJM Productions, where he handled cinematography, editing, and end-to-end production.

As a freelancer, he has shot for notable brands including Blissclub, Porter, Cars24, Tap Academy, Amazon, and Siply. He has also co-written screenplays for both feature films and short narratives, demonstrating his creative versatility

In 2023, Rakesh made his debut as Director of Photography with the Telugu feature film Breathe. He is currently shooting two Kannada feature films, both in active production.
